Classes for adult Christians to grow in their faith are offered many times during the year at St. Bernard and various places throughout the city. Watch the Sunday bulletin for dates and times.

  • Parish Library
The St. Bernard Parish Library offers individuals and families religious, educational, inspirational and support materials in print and audio / visual formats. It provides resources that will help in parishioners’ pursuit of quality, lifelong
Catholic education. Additionally, the library will be available to support the parish staff, committees and groups with resource materials. The library is located in the back of church in the former baptistery room near the south entry doors. Materials are available for checkout. We ask that books be re-turned within three weeks, and DVDs and tapes be re-turned within one week.

The Library Committee is seeking volunteers. If you would like to be part of a team that will meet monthly to process new or donated items, or if you would like to volunteer for 5 - 20 minutes once or twice a month after a weekend Mass to return materials back to the shelves, please call the parish office at 551-0269. If you have religious books, DVDs or tapes that you’d like to donate, please place them in the baskets located in the library.

  • Religious Formation Program
St. Bernard Parish offers a religious formation program for Catholic children who attend public schools in 1st through 8th grades. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings. These classes are one and one half-hour beginning at 6:30PM. For registration or questions, call 402-556-1679.
  • Youth Ministry - Call 402-556-1679.

  • RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which we welcome new members into the Catholic Church. The sessions begin in late summer and continue until Pentecost. Another important part of the RCIA program is the role of the sponsor, who is willing to share what the Catholic Faith means to them.  If you are interested in learning more about the faith or being a sponsor, contact the rectory, 551-0269, for more information.
